This Kiss Sometimes I dream about the flickering teasing in your voice,
Running my hands through your river long hair.
The beautiful promises you makes of my heart,
The candlelight words we've spoken in between.

More than often you've dated me with your love,
Shown me beautiful things in my life,
And like a fairy tale story,
Made me believe in all I want to believe about love.

So as you are holding me now,
I am tempted to give you just about everything.
And so long as you are letting me,
It'll have to start with this kiss.
A Change You used to say all the right things at the wrong time,
Writing sweet letters saying anything but what you mean to say.
Now I'm hanging onto your every word,
Making endless wishes to be with you.
I love how straightforward you are now,
How affectionate you are to me,
And I can tell from your letters that you write everything you mean to say,
Everything I wanted to know,
And not just the part about how you write these letters naked every other day.
love in return I remember trailing my kiss down your body
For the hundredth time in one night,
Asking you to lay still,
And receiving the most mind numbing kiss of my life.

I love the way you kiss me,
The ways you hold me,
The times you bestow me with pure love,
And affections people can only dream of.

So next time I'm going to catch you in a kiss,
To show you how much I love you,
How much I want you,
And how much you mean everything to me.
Reassurance Hearing your voice,
Is like breathing in the summer warmth.
It reminds me of the times you whispered in my ears,
More distracting than all the music in the world.
And I wouldn't miss it for anything in the world,
To be with you as time takes its turn.
And when everything comes to an end,
We would've written our own story of love.
A Moment Together There's a romantic song in the way you speak,
A scent of cranberry in the touch of your skin.
And when I stir the love in your eyes,
I could feel your lips on my skin.

I could never feel enough of your hands on my chest,
The scent of your fingers on my lips,
The sound of your whispers in my dreams,
The sweetness of your love in my ears.

I wish the days with you could last forever,
The taste of you could linger like summer.
The days of our love coming together,
Like the sweetness of you I will always remember.
Scented Letters I love how your letters smells so good,
That despite all my conscience,
I want to hold them to my nose all the time,
And fall asleep with you on my mind.

I love how you use few words when you mention something intimate,
Then telling me you are leaving the rest to my imagination,
Something you know I use well,
Whenever I miss you in ways words can't come to describe.

So as I slowly touched the pages,
I am reminded again that soon,
When our hands are together,
There will be no need for lovely letters in between

When in love

I wonder if you could sense how I feel when I look at you,
Tilting my head to the side when I smile with you.
The way I feel when I listen to you,
The anticipation in my stomach right before seeing you.

I could hold my breath counting the number of stars I see in your eyes,
Stretch my fingertips to graze the surface of your lips,
And slowly, tenderly,
Fall in love with the way you look at me every time.

I sometimes wonder if you could see all this in my eyes,
Recognize the feeling of my heart in my voice,
Feel the tenderness of my mind lost in translation,
A heart wavering like an angel hair in the wind.

Edit: Okay *laughs* someone asked about the ending of 'angel hair' in the wind..."angel hair" is also a type of spaghetti ;p the thinnest hand made. It's a double metaphor! a thin piece of string, what a heart feels like, hand made, and tossed around in an ocean where it's like a small soft bendable breakable thing flying in the wind forever lost...and unpredictably may land on something solidly good, or drowningly bad -remind me now I have idea for the next poem ;p
